At the dawn of civilization the Celtic Tribes of central Europe wandered East and West, eventually spreading their unique cultural heritage throughout the continent, and forever changing the face of history.

Celts are a passionate, innovative, spiritual and courageous people, and the energy of their culture continues to influence today's world. From the deserts of Australia to the cold coast of Greenland, no other single culture has had such an important and sustaining impact upon our music, art, literature and social structures as have the Celts.

Today we know them as Irish, Scots, Welsh and Breton, and, regardless of whether or not you trace your own roots to a Celtic origin, their influence upon us all is irrefutable. The 7 Nations Celtic Club is dedicated to the celebration of this common heritage.

7 Nations Celtic Club of Portsmouth Ohio is a non-profit, non-sectarian, and non-partisan corporation organized exclusively for social, charitable, and educational purposes. All members of the organization are volunteers and do not receive compensation for their participation. Our goal is to celebrate, promote and preserve our common Celtic inheritance. One way we plan to do this is by organizing the first ever Portsmouth Ohio Saint Patrick's Day Parade and working to make the parade an annual event. We are also working to develop an Annual Celtic Festival to take place in Scioto County. It is our goal to hold educational and entertainment events highlighting Celtic Culture throughout the year.
